imo he lost his title against frazier in 71, therefore i count jerry quarry and bonavena also as 2 defenses.
ali vs bonavena was a 15 round fight btw.
Lol, you're making up your own rules to suit your argument. I may have to start calling you Mayweather jr. Ali was stripped of his title. Whether it was unjustified or not has no bearing, because if he hadn't been stripped you cannot sat with 100% certainty that he would not have lost during that time. Again, stick to the facts Ted.

Where you one of the defense attorneys who argued and debated the OJ Simpson trial which found him not guilty? It's a fact he was not guilty, right?

You would rather win a debate than search for the truth.

You are in the minority who believe Joe Louis was the greatest Heavyweight.

Hey Hawk, what do you think? What about you Sharkey?

My failure to add correctly hardly changes the facts Ted. If it did you would have more of an argument than this, right?

Obviously I am not the minority if the majority of historians on the sport agree with me. You go ahead and keep that blind fold on though.

Historians on the sport and boxing experts are two different things my friend.

People who study the ins and outs of the sport in fine detail are experts. Many of them have fought themselves and spent a great deal of time in gyms.

u wanted to talk about facts, and the fact is u were wrong, 17 is wrong, end of story.
and again, ali lost his first fight to frazier, thats why there is nothing wrong with saying he has 21 title defenses.
i am not talking about fantasy fights, i am not talking about how many titles defenses could have ali made if he wasnt banned for 3 years.
bonavena and quarry were 2 title-fight worthy opponents.
i dont have any problems with u rating joe louis over muhammad ali, but i dont.

So is 21. We don't get to make things up to suit our arguments. It isn't done that way.

ali won the title by beating liston in 64, he lost it in 71 against frazier, thats how i see it.
bonavena and quarry were real fights, not fantasy fights like u were trying to feed us.
