How Many Years Have YOU Followed Boxing For?

Around fifteen years or so.I already knew about Tyson and Ali at that time and Eubank and benn were such mainstream figures in britain at the time that you didn't have to be a fan of the sport to know who they were.
There was very little world class boxing and football left on terrestrial tv at the time and my uncle was one of the very few people on the street to have Sky.
The first major fight that I recall seeing was Naseem Hamed's fight with Steve Robinson.A month after that I saw the third and final fight between Evander Holyfield and Rid**** bowe.
Holyfield was the first boxer that I supported because the commentators always made him made him into the underdog no matter who he was fighting. They always made him out to be this old warrior who's time at the top of the sport was coming to a close.

not that i remember all of them, but i've seen most of the big heavyweight fights since 1990. i remember tyson's fights more clearly, probably because of my dad's excitement. my dad was brought up in the sport and attended a couple frazier fights. my grandpa boxed in the army in the 40s. no idea if he ever saw any big fights though.
