I was obvious. Rewatch the corner before the last round. Panama Lewis holds up a vail thats supposed to be smelling salts, Pryor taks a big wiff, I mean BIG! Amazing Pryor doesn't react to the smelling salt. Have you ever smelled smelling salt a little bit, it burns your nose. But Pryor puts his nose up to it and takes a wiff. I don't know about that special water bottle but it does stink of foul play too.

I know, I know, Pryor would never put a stimulant in his body and Panama Lewis would never do anything to give his fighter an unfair advantage! Ha!

And I was a huge Pryor fan back then.

In the documentary Assault in the Ring, Resto said that Panama crushed asthma pills and that in turn opens up your lungs, that was mixed it into the water, he said he tried it too once. So he did cheat.

The fact is that Pryor had a severe drug problem after he left the ring. Very few people start experimenting with illegal drugs after their 30's. It very likely that Pryor experimented with drugs before he retired.

Many have pointed to the heavy stimulant ******* in the first Arguello fight. He dosen't even need to have taken *******. There are numerous powerful stimulants that can be legally prescribed that are NDRI's, Amphetamines, methampetamines. For example, a drug like Adderall, Dexedrine, Dexosyn etc. I doubt that Panama put an anti histamine to clear lungs as it also makes you sleepy- he would want a fighter to be stimulated not just having better breathing capacity. A drug like Adderall is regulary used by College kids today for staying up late for study or workouts. Its not hard for an athelete for a celebrity to get controlled substances just look at how many Michael jackson got.

Good points, Arguello was already on the slide and he took a bad beating in his first fight with Pryor. I think there was something in the bottle, you don't mix water with water, most probably some kind of stimulant. Resto said that Panama Lewis gave his fighters crushed Asthma tablets mixed with water to give them more energy in fights.
