Nope, he just wanted it badly that night, at all costs.

i dont think there was any illegal mix in the water bottle, but you can see Panama Lewis holding his fingers in Pryors nostrils several times

im still convinced there was something illegal in that bottle, remember this fight was only 1 month before Luis Resto vs 'Irish' Billy Collins and we all know what happened there......and Aaron Pryor was a ****ing machine that night, there ain't no way in hell anyone can take bombs all night and keep throwing almost 100 punches a round in a 15 round fight......if i'm wrong than Aaron Pryor is greater than we think he is

I believe that some sort of stimulant was used to get that late round surge.

I think he was on something. What can you "mix", besides water?

I don't really think he needed whatever it was, anyways. He did a better job with Arguello, the second time around.

Arguello was obviously not the same fighter. It's like comparing the Morales that beat Pac to the one that got destroyed by him.

Hard to say. The obvious curiosity is the whole mixing comment by Lewis. I give Aaron the benefit of the doubt however.

That's nothing but a myth. If anything, only his confidence was affected.

It's not like Pryor went at him the entire fight for the full three minutes. So many have no clue about Pryor and how he actually fights. There's this myth that pressured his opponents non-stop,throwing punchings for the the entire round and broke his opponents down that way.If you watch enough of Pryor's fights, especially the middle rounds against Arguello, you will see him up on his toes, creating angles and working off of his jab.

Pryor had more than enough left to go straight after Arguello in the last round

He really didn't and it's a myth that he did.Arguello, either fought a better fight in the rematch,or Pryor was simply worse in the rematch than he was in the first fight.

Their rematch was highly competitive and Arguello, especially early on in the fight was getting the better of the exchanges.

You take away the knockdowns and the point deduction and you could make a strong case for Arguello leading on the scorecard.

Did he or did he not knock him out earlier than he did in their first fight?
