Duilio Loi was not stopped in 126 bouts.

James Toney has fought 83 times without being stopped. Amazing for a modern fighter.

I have Loi #152 on my P4P list and i am sure if i start going through my list more names will start to pop up.

I think Toney and Camacho rate high among modern fighters. Camacho is up 87 and he has fought in 7 different weight classes. LOL, i am sure though his fighting style has not given him many fans.

        ?????

Stribling was 28 years old and only stopped fighting because he was killed due to a motorcycle accident. Way past his prime? Way? I wouldn't even say he was past his prime at all. Hell he beat a prime hall of famer in his very last fight.

That aside I'd personally rate Stribling over Gavilan p4p. Stribling beat world class fighters from Lightweight to Heavyweight....the only man who can claim to have done that. I'm aware several people beat fighters from Featherweight to Heavyweight (as did Stribling), but not guys a reputable rating system would list.

There is a difference between a fighter who is "washed up" and "past his prime." Stribling like Benitez started fighting as a young teenager and by the late 20's they are not the same. The fact is that he had over 230 fights and few fighters are in their peak or close to their peak after 200 bouts.

Gavilan vs Stribling is a good discussion for another thread, i think the fact that i even acknowledge Stribling is noteworthy. As he didn't even make the top lists for ESPN, Bert Sugar, or even Ring Magazine; and those suppose to be the experts. I think people don't give Stribling the respect due to him losing the title shot against Max and the whole controversy that surrounded the draw for the LHW title.

This logic is flawed. The guy was 16 when he started. He had no real amateur career. There's guys even fighting today with 200-300 amateur fights in the bank. This does not wash a fighter up if they take care of themselves.

I wouldn't even call Stribling prime until he hit LHW (or SMW rather), yet he started at FW....

Stribbling went an incredible 264 fights b4 losing by TKO..
***** quite rightly states, he was killed on a motorbike at age 28.. Tragically, he was on his way to visit his wife in hospital, who i believe had just given birth..

Tony Canzoneri had 174 fights b4 losing by TKO to Al Bummy Davis in his very last fight..

Others include: Mike Gibbons (131) Dullio Loi (126) Billy Graham (126) Packy McFarland (112) Sammy Angott (108)

I know!..... That is absolutely mind boggling.. You know him better than me, try getting him to post those lists on here.. I did put a polite request in on another thread, but he may not have seen it.. You have to admit though, he does have a slight advantage over the rest of us owing to his occupation, but it is nice to see the true facts in full every so often: and very handy for cross referencing too..

Didn't see Stribling or Angott in the huge list of names he's just submitted.. Maybe because they've already been mentioned..
