I think Larry Holmes was a great champion. He fought in a weak era of boxing. boxing has always has it's ebbs and flows. some eras are tough and some are not. Holmes and Tyson fought in weak eras. Because of that I would put him behind Ali Louis Liston Johnson and Lewis.

I agree, Holmes was a great champion. But I wouldn't call his era weak, just because he kept winning his title fights.
So did, for example, legendaries such as Louis and Johnson. But Holmes as a champion, fought better challengers than they did.
