Why Didn't Jeffries Give Sharkey Another Title Shot?

The answer looks like no.

So what's being asked here is why Jeffries didn't treat Sharkey like he is special.

The answer is probably in who he did beat.

Sharkey beat the two best contenders who were then active, Corbett and Ruhlin both inside the distance Ruhlin inside 1 round!

After, losing a narrow decision to Jeffries,Sharkey beat 5 men inside the distance among whom were Choynski and Goddard.

If I thought you didn't have the constitution to handle it I wouldn't, but you honestly do your best work when confronted with a contrarian stance and I am earnestly interested. So, I am actively looking for something dissenting but my lack of any stance tells you how difficult you have made it for me.
