If he wanted respect, he should've earned it.
    - - If you want respect, you should be on a Badminton Forum, not here.
    • Michalczewski won the WBO light heavyweight title with a 12 round decision over Leeonzer Barber in 1994.
    • Defeated reigning IBF, WBA and lineal light heavyweight champion Virgil Hill on June 13, 1997
    • Won the WBO cruiserweight title in December 1994, beating Nestor Hipolito Giovannini, before returning to light heavyweight.
    • Made 23 successful defenses of his light heavyweight title from 1994-2003.
    • He came within one fight of tying Rocky Marciano's career record of 49-0

    Agreed!

Of course the answer is, he didn't want respect.

If he could make the money at home, stay home.

He probably doesn't give a rat's azz about us. LOL

He wanted money. It's prize fighting.

This whole 'legacy' thing exists only in our geeky universe, not his, I'm sure.

Furthermore he was the real lineal champion, so blame the yanks for not daring to go to germany to fight him which is most noticeable as far as Jones is concerned.

    - - Amen, and as noted he came to a Roy Jones fight in Florida to lobby for their legacy fight with a higher purse than HBO was paying Roy.

And then summarily dismissed. Net result is that both were soon upset and never the same.

When in doubt, call up IBRO, but here IBRO shoot themselves in their feet by not even considering Dariusz.

    IBRO ALL-TIME RATINGS December 31, 2019 Light-Heavyweight Results
    1. Ezzard Charles (586)
    2. Archie Moore (538)
    3. Gene Tunney (495)
    4. Sam Langford (468)
    5. Bob Foster (451)
    6. Mike Spinks (434)
    7. Tommy Loughran (403)
    8. Billy Conn (371)
    9. Harry Greb (325)
    10. Roy Jones Jr. (258) 1
    1. Bob Fitzsimmons (232)
    12. Harold Johnson (206)
    13. Maxie Rosenbloom (205)
    14. Tommy Gibbons (188)
    15. John Henry Lewis (163)
    16. Jimmy Bivins (111)
    17. Matthew Saad Muhammad (105)
    18. Philadelphia Jack O’Brien (104)
    19. Jack Dillon (95)
    20. Dwight Qawi (87)

Top Vote Getters (50 or more points): Jack Delaney (66). No other boxer received over 50 points. Georges Carpentier and Battling Levinsky who both made the top 20 in the last IBRO poll 15 years ago failed to generate over 50 points, with Carpentier coming the closest at 42. Jack Delaney, who also missed the cut last time, had some support with 65 points but fell short of a top 20 spot.

If he didn't come over, it's likely because he knew that he didn't have what it takes.

It'd be like me claiming I'm the best soccer player, but refuse to leave America to play in Europe where all the respected players play.

If Dariusz was making this fortune, how come his career earnings are less than half Jones'?
    Welcome back from your vacation.

IMO, he is better than the guys in bold and beat more ring ranked conterders than some on this list at light heavy.

I can't in all conscience place him above the following.

    Moore
    Foster
    Conn
    Spinks
    H Johnson
    Lewis
    Loughran
    Saad
    Jones Jnr
    Qawi
    Delaney
    Moorer
    Beterbiev

Then there are non title holders
    Tunney
    Greb
    Langford
    Bivins
    Charles
    Marshall
Plus 50/50 fights with the likes of
    Berlenbach
    Rosenbloom
    Maxim
    Mustapha
    Conteh
    Galindez
    M Johnson
    Kovalev
    Stevenson
    Stribling

Like I said top 25 in the light division worthy of the HOF. His record is very good compared to others on the list.

    He's not even Top 30.

To even consider him in the Top 10 is the kind of lunacy I'd expect from a Looney Tunes cartoon.
