Gilbert Odd never saw either fight.
Any chance you could post one of the round by round articles?

I love reading newspaper accounts of the bare knuckle fights, but they are hard to come by.

All i see here is "blah, blah, blah". The fact is Beterbiev never belonged in this discussion and you're a complete moron for bringing him into it. Those are the facts.

          - - Beter and Bivol head to head beat most heavy champs in history. The ones who could beat them are the elite class

This is an opinion based on no factual evidence, and has zero to do with this thread.

              - - Beter and Bivol are both bigger, stronger, and heavier than most early heavy champs. Paterson might be able to outbox them for a while, but Beter eventually cracks that china and Floyd has to run...

Who are they bigger than, Burns and Fitzsimmons? Who are they stronger than, and how are you determining that? And if Patterson could survive and thrive against the bigger and more complete fighter in Quarry, who's to say Beterbiev would stop him? Ridiculous assumptions on your part.

                  - - Quarry was a fine fighter, but he became a drunk with poor training habits.

Beter has made boxing his 100% business devotion, ie always in top condition. Bivol is the only fighter who survived the distance.

Apparently a smallish heavy with a penchant for being knocked down if not out satisfies you link obsession...ho hum Dorothy, time to click them ruby reds to return to the 21st century.

So Quarry had something in common with you....wow. was he a drunk in 1967 when he and Pattetson fought. Somehow I think not. Either was my point is proven agian. And Beterbiev nor Bivol have any relevance in this thread.
