He was a legit 6'1", a great athlete, one of the biggest punchers ever, and had great amateur skills, where he actually beat Roy Jones as an amateur.

    Nobody like him today.
And a real POS as a human being.

Refresh my memory, please. I've got a bell going off in my head that this is something I knew at one time, but I'm not remembering it. Getting old sucks.

He kept and trained fighting dogs. Sometimes fed them live puppies from the pet store to develop their killer instincts.

Had much fun at a swanky Florida hotel mowing down their flamingos in his new sports car.

        Just a few highlights.

He would tape up the jaws of pet dogs and unleash his pit bulls on them. The condition he is in now is well deserved imo **** Him!

It may have been karma, but he didn't deserve what happened to him anymore than the dogs did. I don't like what he did, but even with that I wouldn't wish what happened to him on anyone.

I don't know, this business that one should not speak ill of the dead and celebrate their misfortune has always been suspect to me. Why not? How far does that go? Does it extend all the way to Hitler? What does Adolph deserve from our lips?

I am betting Mac's demise saved someone a huge load of grief. He hadn't killed a man yet but he was a great candidate. You probably know a history of cruelty to animals is the number one flag for serial killers. He was only building up to it.

I won’t get much agreement with this one but

I have a notion that it was Julian Jackson who might have given Gerald the soft head.

he had fought him very recently - and it’s just how the punches landed.

the hardest punchers get a different effect. A perfectly timed shot knocks someone out.

a brutally hard shot hurts someone. Sometimes they don’t even go down.

jackson lost both fights - but he had a history of dishing out Marciano type brain damagers. Guys were never the same.

when he caught Mclellan in the first fight with some heavy blows - you just seem him stiffen up and all the starch leave him. How he even came back to stop him surprises me.

the thing is - he may have needed more time before fighting a guy like Benn. Head injuries are weird.

just watch the first Jackson fight and look how Gerald reacts to Jacksons power. You can tell it hurt him. Some guys just hit so hard. One of the shots his head violently snaps back

Yeah, I do vaguely remember that, and yeah, I understand your sentiment. It’s like Michael Vick.

I remember well the Michael Vick incident. It was nice because people really got upset and did something about it. Unfortunately back when people really didn't make much of a fuss when people violated animals.

I loved growing up in the middle of New York City as a kid with one notable caveat... There were so many stray dogs. It broke my heart.

Jackson was a savage, a real puncher. People think weight matters lol.
