I did find one thing though, savvy abilities and style might go hand in hand. However, they are definable terms still. A fighter can be all style and no savvy or skill

Savvy - timing, baiting, feinting, countering
Skill - the mechanical efficiency of the movement regarding balance, leverage, efficiency (minimal movement)
Style - the visual representation of the fighters abilities, however not all of it may contribute to his / her fighting ability and some may, like being a pressure fighter.

you could have a high pressure style and learn to throw perfect punches in camp, however the practical application of it all is lacking making the fight score low on the Savvy scale.

If he was active today, I wonder if this would still be the case... that is, if he decided to campaign as a heavyweight? At CW, yeah I could maybe see that - but it's difficult to imagine, that the top ranked 240-280 lbs guys would be unable to hurt him.

I agree with all of that. It is really hard, maybe impossible, to disentangle savvy from the others well. I am going to suggest an old standby, ring IQ, which separates better yet is broad but not too broad.
