You added this part in later so I'll bite.

What is my history regarding Dempsey? Anything I've said that hasn't been backed up with support?

Don't go attacking posters like the others do. If you have a problem with anything I've said, just let me know and we can have a civil conversation about it.

I'm not sure how many ways you can "jump" when a boxer says he will box anyone.

We've already figured it out, Queenie. You always get shlt wrong. Please leave the serious conversation to other posters here. You'll just hurt yourself.
        - - Tex Jr was as they maneuvered to lure Jess out of his lucrative cowboy exhibitions.

Already proved politics killed Jack/Harry fight in 1922. The $$$/fans/fighters/promoter/epic venues were all lined up.

          BULL **** !!!
Rickard was married 3 times. His 1st wife Leona died in1895 and their son Curtis was born and died the same year !
Rickard's second wife Edith bore him a daughter Bessie who died in1907.

Rickard's third and last wife Maxine, did not marry him until 1926 and they had 3 children.

No Tex Jnr existed at that time Curtis Rickard's middle name was Tex but he died two months after being born in1895
How old are you about 12?

I ask: Wasn't it Dan McKettrick. Who was the (charity) promoter and chief 'string puller'?

I would like to know if anyone does know.

I thought, but now can't confirm that, it was Dan McKettkick who set it up, so as to get Jeannette (rightly so) into the title picture.

But it was still a dirty trick.

But, but still in keeping with what a good manager (a nonethical man) should do for his fighter.

It was a nice try, but Doc Kearns wouldn't bite.

            Ah! Boxing.

McKetrick was Jeannette's manager and instrumental in trying to set Dempsey up.Jim Coffroth said it was a dirty trick to pull.

NY commissioner said politics killing the fight was hogwash. Pretty sure he knows more than anyone still living and most of the dead on the topic.

It will be interesting to read what Pollack has to say in his Vol 2 of Dempsey.
