You said Greb would have trouble enough with modern lightheavyweight greats. Did you not? I said you must believe Tunney would struggle as well than considering how close their series of fights was overall. It's in post #8, there for all to see.
I never said Greb could beat any of the great heavyweights. I will argue tooth and nail he should have received a shot against one of them. I can post proof he whipped him in sparring on more than one occasion and that heavyweight champion chose to fight lesser fighters than Greb that Harry himself had already proven superior to. So where you and Slugfester are coming from I have no idea.
Now are you going g to answer the question? If you believe Greb would have trouble enought with modern lightheavyweight greats, than do you feel Tunney would as well?
- - Trouble enough is competitive, Dumb enough is you...

I have no idea what you are talking about either. I don't subscribe to the triangular theory, but you must. It is no worthy yardstick at all that Greb gave Tunney a rough time, you triangular theory hound. Does giving Greb a hard time mean he would do the same with Matt Franklin, for instance? I hardly think so. That is how irrelevant the triangular theory is, methinks. I can see it means something to you, though, so I do not want to upset anyone.
I also consider that Greb was very dirty and would have a hard time with today's referees, if one draws from the same body of apocrypha that you boys all seem to rely on in every Greb discussion.

what are you talking about? I have no idea what a "triangle hound" is. It's apparent you have no idea what a triangle theory is. I am not saying fighter A can beat fighter B because A beat C and C beat B. Are you following? My point being that Queenie made a claim Greb would struggle with LHW greats of today. What is the case for that? If he believes that than why wouldn't he believe the same of Tunney? Greb beat more hall of fame fighters and ATG's than any other fighter in history. You seem to have a problem with this because there is no film. Was there a giant conspiracy in the 1920's to inflate Greb's legen so as he could be seen as an ATG 100 years later? If so I would say that is incredible foresight by all those reporters, trainers and fighters who have commented on Grebs abilities and and greatness. But the question I ask you now is, why? If it weren't true why did they all agree on it?

I think you know exactly what I am saying, but choose to deceive that you don't. The triangle theory covers the case where one man gives boxer A trouble because he was troubled by boxer B. Yes, you know exactly what I am saying. If you can't see that analogy you should retire. But you can see it. I know you are pretty smart, so I don't accept your deceptions as valid arguments now. Once you try to deceive me and other letter writers, you are under the microscope where you have me, old boy. Yes, you are a hound for the triangular theory. Why deny that you already used it? When you are called, suddenly you can't see what is being said, though you know everyone can see it. It didn't work. Retire.
