Ex boxers in prison often act as goons for Mafia bosses who know almost everything in the prison before it happens.

Even after hanging up his gloves to become a club owner and promoter, he remained a darling of the media and a hero to millions. But.....it has been claimed that Mills took terrible secrets to his grave. A 2001 book claims he was a vicious serial killer, responsible for the brutal deaths of at least eight young women whose naked bodies were found in or around the River Thames between 1959 and 1965.
And its total BS.The officer in charge of the investigation into those murders stated categorically that Mills was never a suspect for those murders

Was the fact the Jack Johnson beat his wife nearly to death bogus too in your eyes? He also assaulted a 120 pounds sickly man. Boxing has its share of scum bags.

Jesus "Manny" Contreras was a New England heavyweight champion. I sparred him in 1990 before he fought and lost to Rid**** Bowe in the 1st round. I remember thinking I wasn't as tough as I thought I was when he was so easily dispatched. He was later convicted of ****.

Yeah, I thought I heard something about Leonard hitting his wife when he got high on coke. Someone here more versed in boxing history can probably confirm that. Thought I remembered reading that on the forum here actually, come to think of it. Not so much later on, when he got clean though.
