Kessler won’t make it nor should he.

    He beat 2 HOF’ers, yes I’m aware.

0 in their prime and 1 that wasn’t totally shot to pieces.

You are impressed by this why?

Not when they fought. When they fought he was unranked.

      These are objective facts.
      - - Them's the official Ring 1997 rankings, and they fought in 1997.

You may be able to dunce your way through elementary school, but you don't know how many times Ring issued Ratings updates during 1997 that don't appear in their official 1997 rankings. Those data points ain't in the Ring public internet sphere.

Meaning that Froch was not at the time an essential fight that Calzaghe needed to delay his retirement for him. Nash out
Lewis ducked nothing. He'd earned the right, at age 37, of walking off into the sunset, and he did just that, using your logic to justify Calgahe's cricket chirping stance on Froch. He'd ALREADY given Vitali the crack at the crown, which, is more than Holy Joe did with the obvious talent that Froch was. We can cry about the short notice, re Lurch and Lenny, but such short notice worked BOTH ways, and lets remember who fell apart as opposed to what might or might not have happened, which is another way of wording "fantasy". Fighters create their own "luck", to paraphrase Ray Leonard, a truly great fighter.

The Klitschko's had a very strong fan base circa 2003, especially Lurch. I've clashed with that base countless times since (and especially during) that period. There was a marked, notable insecurity where any negative career outcome for Lurch was concerned. And I sort of get it. He was trying to shed the whole Chris Byrd-thing, the other fight where his wheels came off. So for the sake of stirring that old pot counter-clockwise, why didn't Lurch pursue Byrd with ANY vigor back then if shedding that monkey was so important? He certainly let the crickets chirp loud and hard where Southy was concerned, certainly lacking the same passionate hue and cry for the opportunity to exact revenge as he did, endlessly, for Lenny.

And don't hand me the "Wlad beat Byrd twice" horse****. Byrd had become a titlist on Vitali's watch. Vitali owed him despite Byrd losing said belt to Wlad. There was far more at stake than just hardware. History hints strongly that Vitali didn't want Byrd again.

Now, to add balance, Vitali returned some years after going on blocks, in one of the best comebacks I have ever witnessed. He looked stellar as he set about creating (and underlining) his own legacy. I made it a point to watch every match, chearing for him all of the way. Not a Sobot, Giminez or Manfredo among any of his challengers.

Me? I think boxing hall the hall of fame should have higher standards than it does. Kessler competition is excellent. He won the WBA super middle weight title defended it a few times. There are worse guys in the boxing hall of fame.

It’s irrelevant, he won’t get in nor should he.

How can I make it easier for you to understand that those rankings were published AFTER they fought and at the time they did fight, Eubank was unranked at 168?

We shall see. In the meantime Joe was 8-0 vs ring magazine opponents when he fought them. I showed you this. And he beat two hall of fame guys. For some reason you have an unhealthy dislike for Calzaghe. Why is this so?

Because in a 10+ year career he beat 3 fighters ranked in the Top 5 of the division being fought in which is frankly pathetic.

You say beat two HOF’ers, great. 0 were in their prime and one of them was totally shot to pieces so that isn’t a positive thing like you seem to think it is.

                    - - Ring updated rankings in the day showed Roy #5 when they fought and Eubank rated.

Look, if a clod were to take up boxing, he'd be you with a hambone running ear to ear through his vacuum.

And the fact remains that Jones was just a shell of his former self. No?
