Peds are not simply a mind trick, it's a physical advantage. Whether you believe in them or not.
And you are clueless as to the damage that a man, on peds, could do to another in boxing.
You want to legalize peds like the thread starter? Go to a baseball web site and do it.
Boxing has taken much more from it's participants than it has ever given.
In baseball, the ball will get smashed and bounced around in the park. But you could still use that ball on another day and it will work just as well.
In boxing it's the brain that gets smashed and bounced around inside a fighters skull. How many times can you drop a computer off of a desk and still expect it to work properly? Peds and boxers simply means that instead of the computer falling from a regular desk it will fall from a 10' high desk.
Would you want that happening to your computer?
If you allow peds than you are answering yes to the question.
But instead of computers you are damaging a human beings brains and lifes......................Rockin'
Where did I say legalize? I said it would be difficult to determine effectiveness given there are no clinical studies on the subject. It's a response to the idea that "less harmful" PEDs should get a pass. Contrary to what you took from it, what I am actually saying is that's a dangerous move. The safe move is to ban all forms of substance abuse because we don't know what is very effective and what is nonsense athletes simply believe is effective.
I am not surprised by your emotional and thoughtless response, that's your modus operandi. Me no understand, me angry. Whatever elder, read a book.

Here's a shock for you. People who participate in the same thing don't necessarily have the same take. You're going to need a different strategy to deal with me. I might have more experience than you do. I think, given not a single trainer I ever dealt with was ever a pro fighter, you don't need experience in the ring to have a strong understanding of the game.
I think Manny S is probably the most celebrated modern trainer. He has a whole 2 fights under his belt. 2 AM fights. 2 - 3 rounders. Against a debut and a 3-n-2. I have more experience than that. Am I the expert between us two? No, no I am not. Manny, may he rest in peace, could train the piss out of me and make me way better than I am. You know it, I know it, the whole boxing world knows it.
Javan Hill, as far as I know, experienced 0 matches before he took TF from a Draw to a KO.
How many Kronk trainers have 5 or more fights? AM or Pro.
But this guy, who claims he once boxed, he has secrete knowledge. ... Nonsense, it's a strawman to support evangelizing your opinion and nothing else. Not everyone who knows the sport needs to agree with you, regardless of lacing, watching, or studying.
What do you know about being trans? Trans are trans, maybe they're right about everything because they experienced being trans. What? You have an opinion and it's valid because you're a grown ass man? Have a think about that.

2. If you get caught, even 10-20 years down the line, you're stripped of your victories AND have to pay back your purse
To expect recompensation 15 years down the road creates a burden that could often be ruinous. It would place a lifetime chill on any participant, a Sword of Damocles that could interfer with future life decisions, all based on an unknown.
We don't do that to citizens.
P.S. Also any charge levied ten years down the road because of new science would necessitate the fighter being given due process. It's hard now to figure out what is and isn't a foul, e.g. Canelo Alvarez, what would it be like trying to prove a wrong ten years later?Last edited by Willie Pep 229; 03-16-2023, 03:53 PM.Slugfester likes this.

You don't know anything about me. How do you know I have never laced up? Take your self righteous indignation, shine it up real pretty, set it on a pedestal and admire your work a little bit, then shove it man.

Not to worry. This should not affect recreational boxers like yourself. Keep an eye open. Be careful who you spar with.

The other suggestions were possibilities that might be tried in place of that, tongue in cheek, since the lifetime ban for first offense is not likely to ever happen. One of these days the eminence of PEDs in sports will have to be admitted, or a new boxing league formed for naturals. You yourself do not want naturals fighting with jacked up cheats, do you? If naturals are going to fight jacked up cheats who can kill them, they had best get jacked too. Hardly my first choice ,but probably true anyway. I doubt PEDs are going away soon. Pandora's box has been opened.

But to suggest that doped up fighters fight each other is just inhumane.
No man who is doped up should ever be allowed in a sanctioned boxing ring................Rockin'Last edited by Rockin'; 03-17-2023, 12:08 AM.

Add in the strength with peds and a death will certainly follow, not to mention the added impacts absorbed by the brain.
If what the human body can achieve, with out drugs, is not enough for you than go to under ground fights.
Do you also approve of dog fighting..................Rockin'
