I have a sneaking su****ion that Joshua's got a trick or two left in him. Twasnt that long ago when many (most?) Of us saw him as the era's frontrunner. He certainly isn't that anymore, but it ain't over till the fat lady sings.

I don`t think these three will be remembered as some special fighters.
Fury needs to fight at least one, maybe two more guys we THINK can beat him. Then he'll get an ATG remembrance.
Wilder-Fury II &III only became a big fights because Wilder took him the distance first time out (with a KD). After that Wilder jlooked outmatched.

He certainly aint gonna toy with somebody with the right-had of Wilder or the size & skills of Fury.
The Klitschkos were lucky to be in the era of big stiffs or overmatched smaller guys like David Haye & Eddie Chambers.

I suppose I agree.
With Joshua's title opponents having collectively dropped a whopping 18 fights since Joshua defeated them, and Wilder and Fury having lost None outside of when stepping up against each other in that same span of time, we've certainly come a long way since the days when folks said that AJ had fought the "best opponents" of the three.
My guess is that no sooner than when Tyson Fury unifies the belts by crushing Oleksandr Usyk, the Los Banditos companies will fragment that title again, as sanctioning fees by shared rotation won't keep the cash register ringing.
Once that happens, Eddie ought to be able to snag his charge a title belt or two as Wilder, Fury, Joyce and Usyk all age out. But having blown or sidestepped a chance to face the best of the post-2015 era, won't that be a hollow prize!
Thoughts?
Fury is waiting to fight competition that too isn't old/fat while he is still younger. Will Fury actually face a man in his prime that is top 10 Ring Magazine ranked or even Box Rec Ranked?
Post Klitschko this era has been very poor. At least the Klitschko's both fought many ranked contenders that were young and in their primes. This generation of heavyweights very poor and doesn't test themselves.Last edited by Dr. Z; 02-11-2023, 05:46 AM.
