How many "emeritus" champions have there been since its inception? Not a lot, and all bogus. There's only one world champion per weight class, and Vits wasn't it. He was a title holder that was given a fancy designation when he was stripped only to keep the money coming in once he came back from juicing his injuries better.
    - - U always squallin like a baby doll with rip cord. Now U telling WBC what they rules are when U dunno what they rules are. Vit has an emeritus for life for U to have a stroke over.

How many "emeritus" champions have there been? It's an easy question, why won't you answer it?

Klitschko has been WBC "champion emeritus" since a knee injury forced to withdraw from a fight and retire from boxing in 2005.

The honorary status gave him the right to fight Peter (30-2), who won the interim belt in a fight against Jameel McCline last September, whenever Klitschko chose to come out of retirement.
There was a big lawsuit over that, because Peter was the mandatory to Maskaev. Klitschko tried to face Maskaev initially. It was worked out between all parties that Klitschko would get an immediate crack at the winner of Maskaev-Peter

          - - How many times U gonna post proving the devolution of mankind?

Vit repaid WBC innumerable x in a fine title finish to a fine career. Lewie not so ain't never been emeritus material, but rather quit material when Vit forced him to ignobly duck his lucrative end of career.
