states he’s 218 here. It could be an underestimation as well since the lighter the weight was considered better back in the day. Let’s just take this as accurate though.

here we have Lennox vs Holyfield.
    https://boxrec.com/wiki/index.php/Le...d_(1st_meeting)

    holyfield is 215 lbs.

for all intents and purposes on tape Holyfield and Louis are similar in size. I personally see Louis as more of a heavyweight because he is heavy legged - where as holy is slim legged with a built up body from peds - but as far as square footage goes they probably seem similar in size side by side.

    key point here:

louis still doesn’t look fat or blown up. Its clearly obvious he could have easily been 230 lbs if he wanted. He didn’t though because that would have been ******.

Louis had not fought for 2 years and 3 months and was 36 years old! He dropped weight as his activity increased. And you had the nerve to say I was misleading?

How does this mean anything??? Fact is he’s 218

Holyfield was 180-185 (after rehydrating) back when Louis was 195-200 (early careers) holyfield was a huge lhw and a small heavy, so it makes sense his natural size floats around there.

we are talking weight here, and this is the argument you are stuck on.

im confused, legitimately. Whats wrong with this post. Louis comes back a bit heavier because he’s not running as much and eats a bit more. Nothing special here. Same reasons aereolla is 240, he eats too much and doesn’t run. These guys aren’t super heavies. Men don’t evolve in this short of a time, and modern condotioning?? What?? Peds??

you all act like he’s Hopkins size. Seriously some of you are deluded. Hopkins could never sleep a dude as big as buddy baer

You mentioned Hopkins twice I never mentioned him at all.
Fact Louis was 6 ft 1 1/2in tall.
Fact Louis optimum weight was 200/205lbs.
Now I don't give a good **** if you accept that or not because your credibility with me as a judge of boxers and boxing has vanished.

You're just a Rocky Fan Boy as far as I am concerned.

FYI Baer250lbs was stopped by 6 ft 1/1/2in 200lbs Gunnar Barlund!

"Baer took a beating throughout the fight and was finally knocked down by a body shot in the 7th round and the referee waved off the fight."
          Barlund's ko percentage was32%.
For your further information Barlund was stopped by178lbs Conn.
You not only don't know what you are watching, you don't know what you are talking about!

Louis is 218 lbs in this fight. This was a weak post. Usyks best weight was 200. Holyfield's 175

How come Louis isn't allowed to pack on weight?

when people get in there mid 30's they gain weight. Joe Fraizer was 204 when he fought Ali. Six years later he's 224 for the Foreman rematch. have you guys ever seen a picture of Charles after the fight. It shows you even at that age Louis still had that power jab.

                - - Not sure why you even post here. Usyk been fighting at 210+ from ama to pro.

Field as a novice weighed in 170s, not his best weight by a long shot. Nor Clay in 180s.

                  Thats not what I’m saying

I’m saying the guys today are blown up, and hes implying Louis is blown up because his prime fighting weight was 200-205. What I’m saying is these new heavies are actually just carrying too much weight, they aren't bigger people. Louis being 218 is heavier than Wilder on some nights and nearly the same weight as usyk on roids.

usyk was making cruiser at 200 lbs. so somewhere around that is his natural weight.

Louis was 218 lbs for one fight after being out of the ring in retirement for over 2 years Its like you are willfully not comprehending this.Maybe you're the one that is punchy?
                    "I was 36 years old,weighing 218lbs.Charles was 29and 183 1/2lbs.I figured the extra weight would give me an advantage,but I was wrong",
."The fight started out with Charles jabbing me and punching me around the ring.He was younger he was faster,he was lighter.Charles never really hurt me,he just wore me out and really cut me up.He hooked jabbed and got some good left hooks to my stomach. When he started the crosses to my face I dazed some. When I saw an opening,I couldnt get to it fast enough,my reflexes were rusted and my coordination was off.I tried to get of but when I got him in trouble I couldnt react fast enough."From the seventh round I knew I just didnt have it.I was washed up".It wasnt about reflexes or something like that I just didnt have it.I said to myself.oh if I could just have gotten to you five years ago.".Joe Louis

Charles beat Louis because he was younger, fresher and in his prime whereas Louis was past his.
If Louis had been the same age as Charles, Ezzard would not have lasted the distance let alone won! Weight had **** all to do with the outcome and you have made no point whatsoever with this click bait thread. Since turning pro Usyk has never weighed less than198 1/4lbs, for his 4 fights at heavyweight he has weighed
                    215
                    2171/4
                    221 1/4
                    221 1/2
Guess what? He is a ****ing Heavyweight!
