As usual, I find your reasoning and data collection to be sound my friend; and of course that and a quarter will get you a cup of coffee. It may me, and we all do it in the realm of hypnosis, that there is some strained tendons in an effort to curtail full credit to the one Undefeated WHC of the modern era??? No? No, of course not! Pardon my spitballin'.

For the record I think Marciano was a great champion and a fine man.He comes in at no11 on my all time heavyweight list. Undefeated means what ? Me I'm more impressed by the quality of your opponents than whether you kept a clean sheet against them.If Rocky had lost a fight, dropped, a decision as some thought he should have done against Lastarza and Lowery it would not have altered my all time placing of him.

Undefeated doesn’t actually mean that much, especially if the body of work leaves everyone wanting. However we can see which fights gave him the most trouble, and those fights were the ones where he struggled to hit the oponent. Anyone that stood with him got ****** out fast, really fast. It’s not to say that about everyone, but it’s safe to say he shines brightest if you want to **** with him. Rocky also tended to run into guys that quickly just came to survive once they felt the power. Or some (moore, walcott) felt compelled to hit him back after they got tagged. This was a mistake. They should have kept playing it safe. Charles was the only one who kept composure

this is why the Frazier vs Rocky, Tyson vs Rocky fights intrigue the most. Rocky has 2 things going for him in these bouts. They will both be right in front of him for as long as it lasts.

Having old men standing in front of you, both of whom would be cruisers at best today is a little different to having a Lewis or a Foreman standing there trading with you.
I think Rocky beats Frazier based on the fact that he had 2 fisted power.
Tyson has every conceivable advantage over Rocky.Chin,Speed, Size. I don't think it would go 5 rds.

Tyson vs rocky would be an inside fight from round 1. any of those big speedy KO Tyson got over paper champs and retired fighters happened on the outside. You won't see that speed and power and youll see a much lower workrate. I actually think Rocky busts Tyson up bad, out side of a flash knockdown that could happen. Watch any fight with Tyson involving a shorter fighter. for 1, the shorter fighters he faced were terrible quality wise, brought in to lose. Another, he misses a lot more than we are used to, and ties up and holds more than ever. Watch his fight vs Mathis Jr. Thats how the fight would play out, only rocky is no bum by any stretch.

I never call fights as a certainty, only a probability. Which is what it is. Tysons chances are landing a quick short uppercut on rocky, likely early and he's able to jump on him and finish him off soon enough. This is a big under taking against someone known to be tremendously tough, but its possible with Mikes power, of course. If this doesn't happen, and entirely different fight breaks out, and down the stretch its all rocky.

It seems you pick Tyson over Frazier as well? Why is that? Frazier is a far superior inside fighter, showed greater heart and fought a higher level of competiton. He also hurt and knocked out high level competition. Frazier was a bad man. You Think Tyson mauls joe inside? Holyfield beat Mike inside! Im trying to picture Mike finishing Joe off inside, especially after seeing Joe get up 6 times against foremans nuclear missles.

                    To sum everything up:

weights, cheeseburgers and Peds don’t make you a better fighter. It looks so to the general public, but this isn’t the case.

holyfield got worse as he bulked, Norton got worse, even Lewis got worse, but so did his competiton and he also caught 2 ko losses during this time.

who got better from bulking??? The bones aren’t growing the muscles are.
