I suppose it may depend on if you think Bivol's win over Canelo is that wonderful, given that Bivol is a natural lhvy ? I expect Canelo to stop GGG unless Gennady, realising he cannot win , opts for survival ,and I think that unlikely.

      - - Potential for a sucky fight is there given GGG age now combined with his obvious decline after his Canelo fights.

They gave us two fights fought at a much higher level than the 90% of knuckle dragging boxing fans operate at. That's better than 99.9% of the rest of the fights this 3rd millennium. This a mop up fight an easy cash grab before they move on.

Personally I expect Canelo to beat him convincingly and maybe stop him late.BUT.
He's already a top 15 middleweight, you can argue to 10. If he beats Alvarez at 40, there are now questions. A first ballot leading vote receiver for his class he is. It's the highest honor boxing has even through is simply reads hall of fame, and not that he is first time honoree for enshrine of such a distinction. Boxing should separate the elites, don't you think?

The record, title defenses, the KO %, the amount of title fights, and such rate right up there with anyone in history. His completion is not great but he has fought mostly natural middles with top records and likely 8 fights who have been ranked by ring magnates top ten. Too bad he was robbed in the first fight with Canelo. The overwhelming amount of wirters felt he won.
