At 160lbs Alvarez v
Tiger
Giardello
Fullmer
Benvenuti
Griffith
How many, if any does he beat?
??????
- - Given Canelo's fightweight in the ring is around 180 lbs as a middlewt and he's an excellent boxer/puncher with an all time chin, prob beats all of them.
We need better, more realistic matchmaking for these all time who beats who threads.

Alvarez would have his work cut out against Tiger imo.
Lots of spot on comments here. Lefty nails the general idea of the fights with Canelo winning them all and an accurate reason why for those he chose to analyze.
I think Griffith was a better fighter than Canelo, and would favor him p4p, but Canelo at MW is too big.
Fullmer would be interesting, could see a fight that Fullmer wins, assuming he is allowed to headbutt and the judges don't give Canelo the A-Side treatment.
Tiger is there to be hit, and I don't think he keeps Canelo off of him.
Benvenutti and Giardello are not on Canelo's level.
All smaller fighters come fight night by 10-15lbs.
Would never be sanctioned today because of legal liability.
Fans have been matching men who held the same title at different times in an effort to establish who was the better man ,since boxing started. The only thing illogical here is your stance on it. Or do you seriously think those named would be weighed on a different day to Canelo if they were matched against him? Pedantry!

Tiger was strong enough to keep Fullmer off of him.
