If this is true, the BBBofC should have had a massive courtcase against them Surely this should have been noted during the pre-fight medical and a heavy burden would also fall upon McClellan's family, team and himself for allowing the fight to go ahead. All the resentment and grudge towards Benn carried by the McClellan family in the years after the fight looks very bad if they indeed knew their fighter had a braininjury BEFORE the fight!! I find this very hard to believe tbh.
I had never heard before of a family holding the other fighter responsible. Usually everyone knows the risks; but it there were an inordinate number of deliberate rabbit punches that may be proper cause.

They spoke to a few credible doctors. Not sure if he'll have to retire

Does any doctor say to his patient "It's OK to go ahead and get punched in head some more. You know, just a little more, but not too much"?

Is the term 'fight doctor' an oxymoron, or should it be criminal?

******ity is a condition and Drag Queen suffers from it. I'd also add anyone way past prime and also possibly punch drunk to this list. Like Meldrick Taylor later in his career. Never should have been cleared by any boxing commission after about the mid 90s. Holyfield by the late 90s. Pretty much anyone pushing 50, unless it's some special case, like that Dewey Bozella guy, who wanted 1 pro fight after being wrongfully convicted and spending decades in prison. I heard De La Hoya helped him prepare for it. Nice ending to the story, at least. He got his pro fight, won a 4 round decision and became a trainer, opening his own gym.

            - - Only way to get air in the chest cavity not bourn by the lungs is to have a chest puncture wound or punctured lung that usually collapses as it deflates. He couldn't even train under those conditions. And if you look at the Teo family background, it's terribly ***********al.

Doubt they would know a quack from a real doc, but at any rate his career and mindset is in tatters after a great beginning, so time will tell us soon enough what's up with the Teo family as relates to boxing. Flash in the pans much more common than true greats.

As a consolation prize, his fight with Kambosos will be the Fight of the Year, subject to numerous rewatches and forum posts. BTW: Who's the lucky bastard you gave a thumbs up to?

Yup... its true. When I heard that one my first thought was, some doctor is looking at one of these articles and shiating hisself saying "when did I say that!???"
What Queen B said is true, and furthermore, fighting without oxygen is not happening. When your chest is compressed and you can't breathe you can't fight.

Braddock was full of chronic conditions when he fought Max Baur. Arthritis, back, knee problems... the works.
