Worst pre-existing injuries fighters entered fights with?

Mikkel Kessler had a broken hand going into his fight against Joe Calzaghe. The injury meant that he didn't have bagtraining and sparring before the fight.
On a slightly curious note, Ray Leonard claimed all sorts of maladies as reason/explanation for losses to Norris and Camacho. To be fair it should be said that I believe the calf injury for Camacho was legit.

There was also this dude Tim Tomashek. He was picked from the crowd for an alphabet heavyweight title fight against Tommy Morrison. Tomashek had been drinking beer all through the card, when he was asked to to step in the ring because Morrison's opponent refused to take a pre-fight drug test in the dressing room lmao. One of the most outragerous stories in modern boxing this lol.
So his injury going in was that he was drunk!

Cleveland Williams and Bob Foster have at least one of those kinds of fights on their records as I recall in that hazy past.
Archie Moore's first fight as a kid was being chosen out of the audience in a Mississippi River Town card if you can imagine a mangier bunch n'er do wells and sharks ever assembled for recreational skullduggery in history until Don King came along.billeau2
