Football and hockey players are often KOed or TKOed in the boxing vernacular because of spectacular armored physical contact forces far beyond those of boxing all while playing "legally."

- -Just a reminder of other sports never designed to be one on one, but too often a group piling on one.

And to a specific answer to the OP, I never question boxing as a sport, but I do heavily question and criticize the organization of boxing as either/or the most corrupt, inept, and otherwise criminal sport even more than horseracing in the history of mankind.
