I would love to read some of these contracts - what qualifications are connected to these guarantees?

What if the fight doesn't sell and the money isn't generated - does the promoter pull 40 million out of his pocket? I doubt it.

I really would love to read one of these contracts.

Just like today's home market. One guy gets paid 10 million or gets offered 10, then the next guy offers 12. When DAZN first came around, the bidding was bananas for fighters and fights

I believe the second fight set a gate record in Vegas for a heavyweight fight.

                  - -Boxrec tends to recognize big fight gates and ppvs, and I see no evidence for such a monumental claim in their fight summation.

Not only did the fans fill the arena, but they also emptied their pockets as well. Wilder vs Fury 2 officially broke the Heavyweight gate record in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The live gate that was produced on the night in terms of ticket sales was $16,916,440. The previous record holder for a Heavyweight match was ironically enough, the contest that it was most compared to. Evander Holyfield vs Lennox Lewis back in 1999, at the Thomas & Mack Center. That event brought in an impressive $16,860,300.

                      - -Thanks for the update and thank Iole for the perspective, and thank me for noting AJ has packed near 100k in stadium fights to whatever that gate would be, maybe 5x + that of Fury/Wilder.

What are the current projected gate numbers for the trilogy that nobody but lawyers, arbitrators, and Wilder ever wanted to see?
