He is sneering at the people who are doing the paying.

He makes remarks like: legalized bank robbery; my bank account; FU don't watch; I'm smarter than you; I don't care what people think . . . I m getting richer.

What he is missing is what JJ missed, that people often act hostile towards you based on what 'they think'.

Not saying that the system will go after him the way they did JJ, but if/when he tumbles he going to find very little support out there.
YEP. A me first boxing 15th type making a living fighting 0-0 fighters. And a lair.

I'll take the IRS TKO 4 over Mayweather, Any takers?

Let's hope it doesn't play out that way . . . You like to think that there are too many precedents (with Louis being legendary) that fighters just don't make that fck up any longer, they make other mistakes.

My guess is that his fortune runs dry from ********, women and paying for lawyers for future lawsuits. He will be fighting exhibitions into his 60’s.

In short, we ain't talkin' Jack Dempsey or Joe Lewis or Marvin Hagler here. U boy been coddled and swaddled ever step of the way...
Becuase he came from a boxing family means he was rich? As if Floyd Sr (no disrespect to him) was at that level to win millions of dollars in thesport. He had also been fighting dudes with winning records, 6’1” dudes like Tony Pep early on in his career. You keep forgetting that his dad ran the streets since boxing was simply not enough for the family. He literally lived with 7 people in one room.

I'm going to write this open ended instead of aimed because I don't want to pester but I'm still very curious. So read if you like, respond if you will, but I'm just fishing.

It's like a philosophy or culture clash. I don't personally get offended by arrogance, and, the whole reason why I ask why folks do is because pretty much your whole life you're told arrogance is a bad thing but honestly I wish I could be more arrogant.

It does take a certain level or arrogance to realize millions of people have come before you but you believe you can achieve something none of them can. I relate to that arrogance because I'm not just an inventor but a tooling inventor. I literally invent new ways for making new things in one of man's oldest industries period. Like as early as industry itself. Molds are as old as the metal objects you'd need a mold to create, kinda a duh right? I fell into it. I wasn't meaning to invent nothing. I had problems and I came up with solutions, simple as that. Years later my customers did all the work for me and proved to me in not deniable terms I was a mold making inventor by getting me a patent...or ****ing over 100. That was exciting and shortly after I was put on television and stream services. I was like 24 or some such similar. Nothing can be scarier really. To go from poor, unknown, and without much hope to amount to anything at all to someone who is paid tens of thousands for minutes, not hours, of "work" that really more shooting the **** at people is a big jump and will make you wonder if you're really worthy, are you some kind of master scammer, and worse of all might even cause you to question your own work. Only way over it I ever figured out is what I'd call a forced delusion. I have my doubts, I understand i'm just a poor kid from a puerto rican dad who made cabinets with no real education, no funding, no training, and no experiences, who lucked out with a good idea and being too ****** to know it's impossible, but, I can't kick Chinese ass all over the international marketplace believing any of that ****. I have to force that voice away and make louder the voice that says people all over the world with the education, training, experience, and money failed where you succeeded. Men have done what I do for eons and none of them came up with my concepts or even the sheer number of concepts I have patents for in this industry. No man has ever put hammer to chisel like me. No man has ever worked clay as I have. I got work in space ala NASA, I got products in the ocean thanks to the world's greatest Navy, I got products on your TV by way of CBS. I literally talk **** to any God that would be listening. The only way I can claim I am not totally and delusional-ly arrogant is in the self awareness. I'm not naturally arrogant, it's more the opposite, but, how the **** can I knowingly go up against China, alone, by myself, let alone competition from Europe and my own nation and continue to come out on top if I can't convince myself I'm the baddest mother ****er and it's not arrogance it's truth? At least in my shop when I need to get down to it. It's not something I can sustain but I don't know that I shouldn't want to. Hyped up and focused is how I make magic happen. The dude who talks to y'all most often is not who I am when I make molds. Sometimes, but not as often as not. I don't know being more relatable and easier to talk to has done me any favors at all.

If anything, if that's Floyd, if he's really that arrogant, I envy him. I just don't have it in me to always be that way.

My biggest problem With floyd's family: They were shopping for thanksgiving on tv and bought cans of sweet potatoes, and pumpkin pie out of a can... Inexscusable. Making pumpkin pie is easy and man what a difference in taste... ditto for sweet potatoes. roger mayweather was a genius when it came to boxing, they all came up financially... yet buy canned yams for thanksgiving? gravy out of a can? No....

I grok your meaning... Grok from Robert Heinlen's in "Stranger from a Strange Land." Great word! I have a touch of your disease (tongue in cheek man!) as well... been accused of being arrogent at times. If its a fine line, then so be it, and no fcks given to trampling over it... It has to do with when one is confident and has been succesful on their own terms. Your not supposed to be proud unless you do things that others do, and care about what others care about, neither of which, frankly, has ever applied to me. What people do not seem to get, is to do the type of things some people do, and I have a similar trajectory as you M., you need supreme self confidence. But what they don't see is the other things we do... I give my **** away as it is needed by others... No questions asked. I have never lent anyone money, don't believe in it... If you need it and I can help I will get it to you. But to know you can find a way to always keep things going it takes a lot of confidence in yourself. That is interpreted as arrogance to many. Yes most people think they are smarter than others... but what about when it is actually confirmed? They don't tell you about that part do they lol!

I have no problem with the fact that Floyd is a pipsqueak... I find it amusing frankly. These guys make insane amounts of money and want to flaunt it, let them enjoy it while they can.

Man, I agree with you here. They just can't do that. Absolute inexcusable. Pumpkin and Sweet Potato pie are my favorites!!!
