Are there benchmark's we can use to denote a boxing era?
Using decade dates doesn't seem to work.
How about . . .
Sullivan to Willard?
Dempsey to Tunney's retirement?
1930 to post war America?
Post war to Cassius Clay?
Ali to 1980?
1980 to Lewis?
Lewis to retirement?
Fury to now?

- -Decades easier for the mathematically misanthropic to categorize in units they can count on their prehensile feets.
Ex: The 70s goes from the fantastically great series of Ali/Frazier/Foreman/Norton into the WBC monkey biz of Tubby Lar who was still skinny then and the WBA chumps he ducked.

Wlad while effective was incredibly boring. And Vits fought the worst of the worst far more often than the best of the best.
The Ks filled stadiums with plenty of Euros and Brits flocking to see their highly produced pre and post fight productions that sandwiched their main events. The Panic of 2020 has derailed the global economy, but the heir of Wlad, AJ is still the man with his own mint calling the shots. Fat Andy, bless him, had the best nanomoment in American boxing since Mike Tyson ruled his short era before Givens and King ruined him, what, decades ago? Maybe he can make a comeback, but he was the only American or Brit capable of stepping up to th scratch line in AJ's American debut.

Anytime your old punk ass thinks you can warm up that tired brain enough to stutter out some boxing I'm here. Until then, you're a old manbaby casting insults because you're too ****** to think of a half decent counterpoint.

Filling stadiums with Euro's doesn't eqaute to a great era. They were popular in Europe, no doubt. But they couldn't draw flys in America because they were boring to watch. Especially Wlad. And Vits wouldn't fight the best available fighters. It's no wonder no one would watch. I believe they were respected as good fighters, but why would anyone she'll out their hard earned cash to watch a boring fight, or have them fight second raters. On top of that another reason the era was horrible is because besides them it was a revolving door of top 10 fighters. No one could get any momentum because the contenders seldom fought one another.
Baseball is designed to be a left handed sport where lefties some the greatest ever and exalted. Not so boxing that traditionally turned southpaws orthodox just so they could make a living since southpaws were otherwise avoided. Now they hold titles way out of proportion to their statistical numbers and Wlad holds the record for the most southpaw heavy title fights like other title records that he holds.
According to the dimwittery of this crowd, the 90s one of the best American eras ever that disappeared in **PooF)), abracadabra 00s where Fat Andy is the best by recent record Americans can claim, and he claims Mexican heritage, not American ancestry! The shame of U shamelessness is boundlessly infinite...

Tony Thompson the best American fighter of that era the only only American to tackle the overseas market with success. The Ks were importing American heavies unable to make paydays in their own country for good purses in Germany. Tony beats most heavy champs in history just by his physical attributes, not the least of being a southpaw, a recent development in modern boxing.
