His win against Mccallum was one of the best boxing displays ever put on. Sumbu belongs in the IBHOF

One of the 10 best middleweights ever. Enuff said. He had class, he had the skills, he even had power altho he himself never gave enough credit to his own power. He's got what, 33 KO's on his resume? A non-puncher could not have that many.

10 best in the last 30 years definitely.

            People to consider:

            Marvin Hagler
            Bernard Hopkins
            James Toney
            Roy Jones Jr.
            Mike McCallum
            Michael Nunn
            Reggie Johnson
            Chris Eubank
            Nigel Benn

Yeah. I mean, the guy was the first to beat The Bodysnatcher! And a prime Bodysnatcher even. The one Toney beat wasn't really in his prime.

Man, when you think how much Benn struggled against Malinga both times, it makes you think how much trouble someone as technically skilled as Kalambay would have given him.

McCallum had a late prime due to the age he turned pro. I'd say he was prime the first two times he met Toney.

that was one nasty KO. DeWitt had a pretty darn good chin too.

its a real shame people only remember Kalambay for his one round loss to Nunn...he was quite a technician.
