What's wrong with comparing Rocky to Kelly with the logic I used? I said both come forward hoping to land a big right. How is that comedy? Accept it, my dude, The Rock gets schooled in today's game.
You know, posters who use phrases like "outdated" or "good in his time" or "today's game" should be banned until they grow up and actually gain something resembling knowledge. Too many punk kids think they know everything when in truth they know **** all.

Todays heavyweights are bigger. Thats it. They can't fight at a rugged pace for 6 rounds let alone 15. They are slower than ever. They lack heart and determination. and besides only a few of them, their skills are crap. Not ONE heavyweight today comes close to being the complete package that was Archie Moore.
      I'll give you that one.

Great, you picked the most awkward and worst HW's. Why not put Tyson, Lewis or Holyfield. They are still considered contemporary HW's. Plus, Moore was naturally a LHW or a CW.

Manchine, is there any chance you could do Ibragimov-Wlad in that grainy style 20's film you once had Vitaly in? I would love for some of these bozo's to see what their heroes would look like fighting on the same type of film that the fighters from the past fought on. The erxcuses would be endless.

LOL, old man catches feelings. Maybe you should stop living in the past and accept that the sport has evolved as well as its athletes.

You were saying that today's heavyweights are better than Moore (not only bigger but more skilled, athletic and smarter)... I would have thought that you were talking about who the top heavyweights of today are.

Tyson, Holyfield and Lewis all debuted around 20 years ago, I wouldn't call them contemporary heavyweights even though one of them is still hanging around at 46 years of age (and actually having success against one of today's freak shows).

Sounds like a good idea. I'll give it a try.

My bad, I should've cleared that up. I meant contemporary HW's not literally TODAY's HW.

That just proves you flunked Biology, Anthropology, or both because you have absolutely NO understanding of basic evolutionary science. Evolution takes place over hundreds of thousands of years NOT over fewer than a dozen decades. Man at the turn of the 20th century is both genetically and biologically indistinguishable from man today. More proof you lack education or any base of knowledge what so ever. You simply talk out of your ass and color every post with a misguided generational bias that has no basis in reality.

You have got to be joking. When a SPORT and its ATHLETES evolve, it usually means that the TIMES change as well as the technology, not humans themselves. Today's athletes have state of the art training facilities, nutritional supplements, advanced strength and conditioning coaches and drills, etc. etc. That's what I meant when I said that the sport evolves.
