Tyson is my ALL TIME favourite and he was THE most dangerous on the inside but he didnt really have much of an inside game, often he wouldnt throw when in close! That annoys me about him but he still my boi!

Anyways i still say James Toney

Something I never understood about Mike, is why didn't he do like Joe Frazier did when fighters would tie him up, which was use his elbows to create space to rip off shots. Mike would just let them clinch him and push him back.

I never understood that, why didn't he retaliate?

tyson fought at mid range and was great at it, he was often lazy in the clicnhes but like someone said beforehand would intiate them so that he could be broken up and move back into his most effective range. hed actually put very little energy into clinches, he didn't see the point of wasting energy.

hes alot cleverer a fighter than he is often given credit for.

gotta give credit for money may, iv seen him use his elbows to create space and rattle off 4/5 punch combos.

toneys also a class act on the inside, he was great at throwing the right punch with perfect timing.

hagler as well was inciredibly strong and dominant on the inside, but overall i think duran edge it for me. the guy is just different class on the inside, someone once said 'you might think hes just a brawler but look at his face duran does some pretty cute things in there'.

on a sidenote ricky doesn't have an inside fighting style, he has a smothering, mauling style. his way of fighting on the inside is holing you with one hand and hitting you with the other.

Considering Hatton was beaten by Mayweather on the inside too, his name should not be there, or Mayweather's should be too.

That is my poit about Tyson though, once a fighter like Holyfield for instance took the midrange away from him by either outboxing him on the outside and then outpunching him on the inside, he couldn't do anything. He should have done better fighting on the inside. Joe Frazier for instance would never have allowed anyone to just tie him up and push him back like that.

Most definately Duran. He took great angles on his body shots, and was always hitting something, even when being held. If he could get his head on his opponents chest, the fight was his. Just a masterful inside fighter. You could use his videos to teach young fighters the proper techniques for fighting inside. It also helped, that once inside, he was going to maul you to death.

The best ever with no dought was Duran.
Two others that come to mind are,
                      1) Joe Frazier
                      2) Aaron Pryor
