By the way, before you go criticizing my "comprehension", maybe you ought to learn how to spell two letter words correctly. Lmao, FO! Of. Of Of . You got that yet, or should I spell it again for you. If you're still having problems, try sounding it out.

Rocky didn't know enough boxing to know what a feint was. He never tried to outguess you. He just kept trying to knock your brains out. If he missed you with one punch, he just threw another. I had the braggadocio and the skill and the guts, but that wasn't enough. Marciano beat me down.

Means nothing. Everyone licks the balls of the guy who kicked their arse. If they didn't then they would look like bums. Come out with something objective.

The problem with that argument is that Marciano didn't block shots with his head. For an aggressive fighter he was deceptively elusive as LaStarza, Charles, Walcott, and others more credible than yourself have been quoted as saying.

    Marciano's defense:

The "hitting the ropes" has to be a joke but the rest are fairly valid points. These are things you don't see from a guy who blocked every punch with his head.
Again you're quoting his victims. Who from the golden era ever rated his defence? they laughed at it knowing he wouldn;t even be their sparring partner. Anyway, you're saying he is relatively elusive compared to old men. As I said before get some OBJECTIVE info, not from his victims like say a video of him getting caught by slow and old Walcott so easily. No imagine what even the Big Klit would do to him in same circumstances. No matter what any Rock arselicker says, they know that Walcott did not have a huge punch. I simply don't think he could stand a chane against even a genuine current heavyweight, never mind Ali, Holmes, Frazier, Foreman, Tyson, Louis and the genuine ATG's.

                  • Rocky was not in any way overrated, he was greatly respected by his peers, and by future generations of boxers including Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali.

"When I was 14 years old and listening to the radio and I heard the announcer, '…and still champion of the whole world, Rocky Marciano….' I knew I wanted to be champion someday. He was a big influence in the start of my career."

Good post Red. If someone like Ali looked up to him enough to mention that memory, you better believe he isn't overrated by true fans.
