Cuevas and palomino were on there way down also
Unlike the situation today, Duran never hesitated to challenge the very best.

So maintain being a massive Duran fan.

To be fair, Duran started his professional career in the 60s, had over 70 bouts under his belt, and had moved on past his best weight class (but often into the best class of those rivals) by the time we hit the 1980s.

I'm not judging Duran so much on what he did in the 80s, same as I'm not judging Ali on what he did in the 80s. I know a bit of a stretch there but a good ring to it. I'm evaluating Duran on what he did early & mid 70s.

That were my thoughts, but you said it better than me.

Bumping old threads is akin to a resurection in your mind? Personally I think you bump old threads because you're on the ignore list of so many people here. Funny none of those threads were started by you. You've always been a joke on this forum, and AOL before it.

Lol, you joined this forum two years before me.....whoop!!! That makes you some sort of trail blazers now? 🤣

And both Joseph and Houdini were part of the AOL forums and remember me far more graciously than they do you, that is a fact.

What happened to you LRR account anyway? Did you forget the password during one of your stints in rehab?

Just reminded me of the movie Brain Donors, which is a takeoff of a Marx Brothers style movie when John Turturro, playing the Groucho inspired character says to the stuffy old man character when he's being taken away by police "and always remember, nobody likes you"

that’s a good comment but it’s debatable where he finds himself in the P4P top 10 list....I probably could not separate him and Leonard in terms of achievements....longevity for sure but not big wins
