You also have to look at how he performed against other greats. He should have gotten the nod against Lewis in one of their fights and Valuev as well. He beat Tyson both times convincingly, avenged Moorer, and went 1-2 against Bowe who's style was Evanders kryptonite. Holmes gave him a good tussle but was beaten, Foreman etc.

Also, many greats because inconsistent towards the end of their careers. Charles and Langford are examples that jump to mind.

Agreed. Also: Moorer chronickly underrated. At his best I put him on a short list of Light heavies... and we can't go by judges IMO, but actual performance in a fight.

I do tend to rate moorer higher than most lol. But on tape, at his best he is fantastic.
