I'm just curious on why this fight never happened, & who you'd pick if it did? I'm not sure my self, Arguello's one of my favorite fighters of all time, but I'm not sure if he would have beat Duran.

WOW, that would have been a great fight! I wonder why it never happened too. Duran plays the aggressor coming in and landing hard shots, as Arguello tries to weather the storm by jabbing and countering and trying to turn the tide as the rounds end, but ultimately Duran wins a close UD or MD.

Arguello would not have been ready for Duran at 135. I'm pretty sure Duran was campaigning at higher weights when Alexis officially made his move to 135, but had he moved up from 130 a few years earlier he would have been overwhelmed by a bigger, stronger Duran.

No doubt, Arguello was a great fighter but Duran would have been
Aaron Pryor x 5. The Gentleman vs The Animal.

well Duran is going to win but the guy is just pure dirt and a cheat and wish Arguello could win.
Alexis style is not jabbing only he jabs and hooks and when the person is close he hits him with an upper cut and if he opens he hits him with a striaght right very hard style to adapt even for Duran would be moving his head alot and he could do that
