Modern Guys who did alot with bad losses or little talent.

    1. Jake Rodriquez-Lost to Trinidad early in his career and managed to beat Charles Murray with Southpaw style and little power and went on to defend the title twice before losing to Tszyu and Whitiker
    2. Charles Brewer-Hot Prospect who suffered a bad loss to Lonnie Beasley by one punch kayo and was knocked out by a bum in Rafael Williams, He went on to win a SM title and got on a hot streak
    3. Freddie Pendelton-Losted alot of fights early in his career and had a turn around fight against Roger Mayweather and then won a title and defended a couple of time before losing to Ruelas
    4. Oleg Maskaev-Suffered early losses to Tua and McCall because of rushing and bad management(worst management in recent history) Then went on a hot streak and beat Rahman and Jefferson. Kayo losses to Johnson, Whitiker and Sanders didn't stop him from rebounding to beat Rahman after a short win streak
    5. Rafael Marquez-Management put him in against Akward former champ Victor Rabanales in his pro debut and lost a couple of more fights before he went on a hot streak and is probably P4P in the top 20 in the sport today

You could say Iran Barkley slugged his way to three world titles at three different weights, on heart alone.

BUT, the amazing thing is, around '85/'86 he actually looked very quite talented (and touted as Hagler's rival) and let off good combinations from the outside or always had the last word in long exchanges from the outside.

With Pendleton, he had no skill at all early. In fact, his whole game was to run around the ring without throwing punches and lose a decision. Not too effective. It wasn't until he learned to go balls to the walls and became Fearless Freddie that he became successful. A true Cinderella story, well, not really but he made something of his career. One of those Tuesday night Fight legends.

I forgot to add Glen Johnson to the list. His turn around was quite remarkable looking back.
