What Olympic boxer fought back to back future Professional World Champions? Name the boxer and what two future World Champions did he box?

  • #2
Sugar Ray Seales fought future champs Ayub Kalule and Marvin Hagler back to back.

(There are several such cases... so maybe I have misunderstood the question?)

ok, forget the above... I think I get, what you mean now!

Tyrell Biggs fought Riddick Bowe and Lennox Lewis (in back to back fights, actually!) before either won a world title - and since Lewis succeded Bowe as WBC title holder, I guess you can call them back to back world champions.

Is this what you are looking for?

No, BUT that was a good answer. The boxer I am looking for, fought 2 future world champions in consecutive bouts in the Olympic Games.

LOL... I seem to have misunderstood the question in every possible way! But if we are looking for fights that took place in Olympic competition, my answer will have to be:

Alexander Tkachenko... who, at light-flyweight, in the 1976 Games beat Eleoncio Mercedes in the first round of the competition, before losing to Payao Poontarat in the next.

And there's also Arnoldo Pares... who fought both Vic Toweel and Jimmy Carruthers back to back in the 1948 Games.

Thanks... and thanks for the trivia! Personally, I'd like to see more stuff like this in here.
