I know he's been training for a big fight for a few weeks now, so this will get him pumped if the fight comes off. His form has been pretty inconsistent lately, but i don't know much about Appleby to form an opinion on him.

applebys good, and pickering looked pretty shoddy in his last fight. This could be coming at just the right time for paul appleby, it would still be a decent scalp (former european titleholder and all), and it would set him up to do the commonwealth/european thing that we all want him to do.

He's just after winning young boxer of the year award beating Kell Brook and Nathan Cleverly.He is a good boxer.
