Firat Arslan, Sefer Seferi Battle To a Draw: Chudinov Faces Mendy

Hungarian super middleweight Mate Kis, 13-0-2, won the vacant WBO Intercontinental title last in Arad, Romania, with wide points win over a very brave Timo Laine, 23-11, from Finland in the headliner of a Felix-Promotion show televised by M4Sport Hungary.

In the chief support welterweight Flavius Biea, 16-1, stopped Yeison Gonzales in the fifth and cruiserweight Alexandru Jur, 18-2, had a tough fight against Giorgi Tevdorashvili but on won on points after eight rounds.

On the undercard middleweight Renato Egedi, 14-1-2, won a unanimous decision over Beka Murjikneli, 5-6.


48-year old former WBA Firat Arslan, 44-8-3, retained the WBO Intercontinental title at cruiserweight with majority decision draw against Sefer Seferi, 23-3, in Goeppingen.

After twelve hardfought rounds it was scored 115-113 Arslan and 114-114 twice. This was Seferi´s first fight since losing to Tyson Fury.

On the undercard super lightweight Yavuz Erturk, 27-1, knocked out Gabriel Angel Ledesma, 12-3, in the third.

Italian Luca Rigoldi, won the vacant EBU super bantamweight title with a unanimous decision over French veteran Jeremy Parodi in Hyeres, France. Rigoldi won on scores of 119-110, 117-111 and 116-113. Rigoldi made a good start and was well ahead after six while Parodi did better in the final six rounds.

EBU super middleweight champ Robin Krasniqi, 49-5, retained the title with a points win over late sub Ronny Landaeta, 16-1. It was scored 116-110, 116-111 and 120-107.

Landaeta stepped in for Krasniqi´s stablemate Stefan Haertel during fight week and proved to be a willing and tough opponent. In the co-feature on this SES promotion in Dessau heavyweight Tom Schwarz, 23-0, stopped Christian Lewandowski, 12-3, in the sixth. Schwarz also holds a win over Lewandowski´s younger brother Dennis.

Former WBA super middleweight champ Dmitri Chudinov, 21-3-2, will after all fight on the Danish Fight Night show in Copenhagen November 24. Chudinov takes on Patrick Mendy, 17-13-3, in a non title eight rounder. The two fought to a draw in England back in 2013.

Mendy is a tricky campaigner and almost specialize in close, difficult to score fights. In Scandinavia he lost a close call to Patrick Nielsen, who turned down an offer to take on Chudinov a second time, beat Oscar Ahlin and lost to Lolenga Mock.

Chudinov was first set to fight Jeppe Morell but he pulled when his sparring, Patrick Mendy, didn´t show up. Mendy, claimed he missed the flight to Copenhagen due to stolen equipment and passport then got the call to fight Chudinov and the deal was finalized during this week.

In the headliner of this DFN show cruiser Detlef Rossing, 9-0, defends the WBC Youth title, against Argentinian Miguel Angel Peralta, 9-1.
