"The Fight Game" Returns To HBO on September 5th

THE FIGHT GAME WITH JIM LAMPLEY continues its seventh season with a new edition WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 5 (11:00-11:30 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO. Hosted by the four-time Sports Emmy® winner, who has hosted HBO Boxing since joining the network in 1988, the show is a provocative, engaging and informative experience that delves into intriguing storylines, newsmakers and issues that are top-of-mind in boxing.

The show is also available on HBO NOW, HBO GO, HBO On Demand and partners’ streaming platforms.

Segments on this edition of THE FIGHT GAME include: Lampley’s talk with undefeated super welterweight phenom Jaime Munguia; a review of the Aug. 4 Kovalev-Alvarez light heavyweight fight; correspondent Kelefa Sanneh’s look at the new gambling laws and the possible resurgence of Atlantic City as a destination for major fight cards; analyst Bernard Hopkins’ “Tricks of the Trade,” focusing on the Canelo Alvarez-Gennady “GGG” Golovkin bout; and Lampley’s survey of the latest news.

Immediately following the show’s Sept. 5 debut, fight fans can log on to hbo.com for an exclusive overtime segment hosted by Lampley.

Just recycling. No imagination, no new attractions, just the same old show. Doesn't inspire confidence. If they want to reinvigorate boxing then they need to start etching in more dates, and do they still televise 'Boxing after dark?' I miss…
