Fernando Vargas Comeback on May 14th in California?

By Ryan Burton

BoxingScene.com was advised by a reliable source that former two time junior middleweight champion Fernando "Feroz" Vargas (26-5, 22KOs) is likely going to take place on May 14th in California.  A few different venues in the Golden State are being considered to host the event.

Vargas was originally slated to face Henry Buchanan (20-2) on April 16th at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The fight was contracted for a catchweight of 170 pounds.  The Oxnard, California native pushed his fight back when an illness that required antibiotic treatment temporarily halted his training camp.

Vargas should stay retired and concentrate on his acting, did you see him in the movie Alpha Dog, oscar nominating performance right there.....
