Fernando Vargas Comeback on May 14th in California?

By Ryan Burton was advised by a reliable source that former two time junior middleweight champion Fernando "Feroz" Vargas (26-5, 22KOs) is likely going to take place on May 14th in California.  A few different venues in the Golden State are being considered to host the event.

Vargas was originally slated to face Henry Buchanan (20-2) on April 16th at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The fight was contracted for a catchweight of 170 pounds.  The Oxnard, California native pushed his fight back when an illness that required antibiotic treatment temporarily halted his training camp.
