Petko´s Box Promotion, headed by ex-pro Alexander Petkovic, will stage a big show in Munich, Germany on April 6. On top of the bill unbeaten light heavy Serge "The Bavarian Sniper" Michel (8-0) takes on Canadian Ryan Ford (15-4) with the vacant WBC International Silver title at stage.

Ford´s last fight was also in Germany on a Petko´s Box Promotion show and he lost a close decision to Nick Hanning - that time with the vacant WBC International 175 lb title at stake. The decision was so close that Ford and his team asked the WBC for a rematch but instead this fight came along.

In the co-feature, heavyweight Petar Milas (13-0) takes on French Cyril Leonet (15-10-3) with the vacant EU title at stake.

IBO light heavyweight champ Sven Fornling is sidelined with what is described as a stress fracture to the shinbone, writes Sydsvenskan. The injury happened last week but Fornling, one of the hardest workers in the business, continued to train despite the pain and it wasn't until this week he had the leg x-rayed.

The injury came at the worst possible moment as the Swede had a contract for a fight on May 4 in Stockton, California, against IBF ruler Artur Beterbiev, and it was ready to be signed.  Instead Beterbiev will now apparently face Radivoje Kalajdzic.

Fornling says he expects to be fit to fight after the summer.

Sven Fornling, 15-1, won the IBO title on December 15 of last year in Hamburg with an upset win over Karo Murat.  He previously held the IBF Baltic and Swedish titles.

Hungarian super feather Zoltan Kovacs (23-5-1) has a tough assignment ahead as he travels to Windhoek (Namibia) to take on the country´s # 1 fighter in Jeremiah Nakathila (17-1). At stake is the WBO Global title, a relatively new creation that one perhaps can compare with the WBC Diamond title - it´s a world title of sorts but not quite and it´s the first time it´s contested in Africa.

Nakathila is currently ranked # 3 by the WBO while Kovacs is # 15 and promoter Nestor Tobias hopes that a win for Nakathila will move his fighter closer to mandatory challenger status.
