Euro News: Enrico Koelling, Souleymane Cissokho, Gamhour

By Per Ake Persson

French super welterweight Souleymane Cissokho (8-0) have signed a 2-year contract with 258 Management writes l´Equipe. According to the same source Cissokho also had offers from Shelly Finkel, MTK and James Prince.

Cissokho, who won a bronze medal in the 2016 Olympics, holds the national title and big things are expected of him.

258 Management is one of the companies owned by Anthony Joshua and it appears they are doing very well.

IBO I/C female lightweight champ Lucy Wildheart (5-0) defends the title against Estelle Mossely-Yoka (4-0)  June 14 in Cabourg (France). Mossely won a gold in the 2016 Olympics and so did her husband, Tony, who is expected back in July after a year out after a one-year suspension for missing out on three drug tests between 2016-17. Yoka appealed against the ruling but it was rejected by the French Council of State.

As for Lucy Wildheart, she is Swedish but based in the UK and trained by former British and EBU champ Colin Lynes.

Swedish middleweight Shady Gamhour (10-0) is now back in the Roy Jones Jr Promotions headquarters in Pensacola, Florida, after a injury-related layoff. Gamhour is next heading for Colorado to train with Devon Alexander and expects to be back in the ring in July.

Gamhour suffered a torn biceps muscle last time out when he one-armed won a split decision over Evan Torres.

-If you wanna win bring in the Finn, is Deontay Wilder´s coach Jay Deas quoted as saying on Robert Helenius instagram account. Helenius is now done sparring with the WBC champ and it appears to have gone well for both. It´s not yet formally announced but Helenius is expected to take on tough Pole Adam Kownacki yet.

In 2017 German light heavyweight Enrico Koelling (26-3) fought for the vacant IBF title against Artur Beterbiev and lost. Almost a year later he fought current EBU champ Dominic Boesel and lost a close decision. Now Koelling eases back into action with a scheduled six-rounder against an opponent to be announced May 25 in Koenigs-Wusterhausen (Germany).
