Last week, there was one single professional boxing event in Europe taking place and it was at the Fightclub Wuppertal in Wuppertal (Germany). The gym was closed earlier the same week and the show - if that is the correct word - went ahead with only the fighters, their handlers and the officials from the sanctioning body, the GBA,, in attendance.
In the main fight cruiserweight Tom Voessing (3-0) beat Dominik Tetz (6-17).
TK Promotions have postponed the show in Struer where Dina Thorslund was set to headline in a defence of the WBO female super bantamweight title against Gabriela Bouvier. The show is moved from May 16 to June 20 - but then again all dates are tentative.
Sandor Martin´s defence of the EBU super lightweight title against Enock Poulsen is still without date. Mogens Palle won purse bids but then the coronavirus came and both Denmark and Spain are now locked down. On top of that the now 86-year-old Palle tells BT that he is being treated for cancer but points out that he is still here and fighting.
Mogens Palle was elected to the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2008 and is known as a fighter´s fighter.
