Euro News: Bacskai, Rossing, Shefat Isufi Returns, More

Super welterweight Balazs Bacskai (11-0) takes on Alexey Evchenko (18-12-1) in the main event of Felix Promotion´s show in Salgotarjan (Hungary) on October 12. Evchenko comes in as a late sub for Frenchman Howard Cospolite.   Bacskai vs Cospolite was to have been for the WBO Euro strap but Bacskai vs Evchenko is a non-title 10-rounder.

On the undercard light heavyweight Mate Kis (15-0-2) takes on tough Czech Karel Horejsek (14-10-3) and super middleweight Shefat Isufi (27-4-2) have his first fight since losing to Billy Joe Saunders in a WBO title fight.

Let´s hear it for French middleweight veteran Michel Mothmora (31-28-2) who won the national title Saturday night in Blois with a points win over Francis Tchoffo Togba (19-16-1). This was Mothjmora´s seventh attempt at winning the French title and in-between he´s held the WBFed world title.

Also in France but in Enghien IBO female lightweight champion and Olympic Gold medal winner Estelle Mossely-Yoka (6-0) retained the title with a points win over Argentinian Ana Romina Guichapani (13-1-1) It was scored 100-90 on all cards.

Danish cruiserweight Ditlev Rossing (12-0) take on Frenchman David Radeff (9-14-2) on October 12 in Hillerod in what is described as a tune up before a big fight later this year.

Female featherweight Sarah Mahfoud (8-0) will take on IBF champ Brenda Karen Carbajal on that show with exact date and site to be announced. Mahfoud face Enerolisa DeLeon (5-2-2) In Hillerod.

Q Boxing Promotion had a big night in Gilleleje, as reported by BoxingScene, and they have since long booked a show for November 1 in Herlev on the outskirts of Copenhagen. However, today (October 7) the event was cancelled and according to promoter Svend Rasmussen it´s due to a lack of local sponsors - and it must be said that Q Boxing´s shows are of the expensive kind without TV backing but with their own live stream. A new date in a different town will be announced soon.
