Errol Spence-Roberto Garcia Eyed For Broner-Porter

By Carlos Boogs reported earlier that a deal is nearly complete for a welterweight showdown between Adrien Broner (30-1, 22KOs) and Shawn Porter (25-1-1, 16KOs) on June 20th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Broner-Porter, which is going to headline a Premier Boxing Champions card on PBC, will take place a catchweight of 144 pounds.

Another welterweight contest being put together for the card would see rising welterweight prospect Errol Spence Jr. (16-0, 13KOs) facing his most experienced opponent in Roberto Garcia (37-3, 23KOs).

Spence was in action five times in 2014 - and ending four of those fights by knockout. He already fought last month and stopped Samuel Vargas in four rounds. Last year, Garcia notched wins over Breidis Prescott, Victor Cayo and Noberto Gonzalez. He was set to face Shawn Porter in March, but withdrew with illness although there were rumors he was too far apart from the weight limit. He came back last month, getting off the deck in round one to decision James Stevenson.

Another Premier Boxing Champions card - this one on CBS - is being worked on for June 21 (a Sunday), with Rances Barthelemy (22-0, 13KOs) and Antonio DeMarco (31-4-1, 23KOs) will collide in a junior welterweight contest. This is also being targeted for the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Spence is the best fighter on this card. He'd beat both fighters in the Main Event.
spence is taking a huge step up in class against a puncher. that's a recipe for a great fight!

Spence will be a beast in couple of years. He gave Floyd some trouble during sparring.
Very, very bad match up for Adrian Broner. Porter fights similar to Maidana. Broner legs aren't quick enough for Porter and Maidana type fighters.
Lol what? Porter and Maidana fight nothing alike.
