Erkan Teper vs. Mariusz Wach Showdown Set For March 18

Heavyweights Erkan Teper and Mariusz Wach clash on March 18 in Leipzig reports German site in a meaningful genuine crossroads fight.

Teper lost in his last time out to Christian Hammer in a good fight, but it was still a disappointing performance from Teper, who came in a good 20 lbs over his best fighting weight. Wach knocked out the very same Christian Hammer back in 2010 in what was an internal Universum eliminator. Since then Wach ,32-2, has fought Wladimir Klitschko for the World heavyweight title but needs a good win to back into the picture - just like Teper does.

The show in Leipzig is a co-promotion between SES, Z! and Doberstein Promotion with Robert Stieglitz defending the EBU light heavyweight title against Nikola Sjekloca in the main event.

None of the fights above are officially confirmed by the promoters.


Sauerland Promotion will stage Erzen Rrustemi (11-0) vs Argentinian Ricardo Humberto Ramirez (14-2) for the vacant World Boxing Federation heavyweight title on March 18 in Aarhus (Denmark). Rrustemi , from Kosovo but based in Switzerland, has previously campaigned mainly at cruiserweight.

The show is topped by Dennis Ceylan defending the EBU featherweight title against Isaac Lowe.

Petko´s Fight Night stage a show March 4 at the ASV Arena in Dachau. Topping the bill is super lightweight prospect Howik Bebraham (6-0) and he is in against former IBF super featherweight king Mzonke Fana (38-11). Fana has seen better days, but it is still a big step up in competition for Bebraham.

Good match up, winner should be available for Wilder's second tune up if his hand heals! Then the loser can get in with Wilder for his 3rd tune up so look forward to Wilder unifying sometime middle of next year…

Wach is terrible. He took a tremendous beating from Vlad while being on steroids. Maybe Teper gets a decision here.
