Junior welterweight contender Thomas Dulorme of Puerto Rico was in Las Vegas for the Canelo Alvarez-Erislandy Lara mega bout but said that his real interest was in the WBA interim junior welterweight title fight between Mauricio Herrera and Johan Perez.
Herrera dethroned Perez and Dulorme said that he would a shot against the Southern California based fighter.
"I really came out here for the Herrera fight. I want to fight him and get a shot at that title," Dulorme told BoxingScene.com.
Dulorme last fought in March when he defeated Karim Mayfield in an HBO televised fight. He said that he plans to return to the ring on August 30th in Puerto Rico against an opponent to be determined.
BoxingScene's Francisco Salazar notes that Dulorme's fight will be televised by DirecTV as part of their pay-per-view series in Puerto Rico.
