Donte Strayhorn (4-1) was able to impress the fans LIVE in attendance at "Big Apple Boxing" promoted by 50 Cent's SMS Promotion.  "Big Apple Boxing" was at the Resorts World Casino in New York.  Strayhorn was able to impressively battered Moura until the referee showed mercy and intervened on his behalf.  After the fight, Boxingscene.com briefly caught up with Donte to discuss his fight with Moura, SMS Promotions, 50 Cent, and 2014.  Here is what the young prospect Strayhorn had to say:

Boxingscene.com:  How was training camp for this fight against Moura?

Donte Strayhorn: My last fight in August at BB Kings I broke my left wrist during the fight.  I was out for a while but started running after 3 months.  I started sparring on December 1st and I was getting great work.  I was sparring the Magdaleno brothers.

This camp, we always train hard, was a tough training camp.  I was fine physically.  By the end of camp I didn't feel pain in my wrist so I was starting to build confidence.  I started to become as slick and picking up where I left off before the injury.

Boxingscene.com:  What is it like being signed to 50 Cent's SMS Promotions?

Donte Strayhorn:  It is a dream come true.  I never thought I would be in this position.  When he 1st started he was only signing champions.  I was the 1st amateur he signed so it was cool.

Boxingscene.com:  Where do you train and who do you train with?

Donte Strayhorn:  I live in Las Vegas and I train at 50 World Fitness.  I train with Gerald Tucker Sr and I have been with him almost a year.

Boxingscene.com:  I saw you venting on Facebook about fans taking verbal shots at him after his loss.  Was there a reason behind you getting behind him specifically?

Donte Strayhorn:  I am from Cincinnati.  I grew up with Adrien Broner that is family.  I can't say anything bad about him.  He showed a ton of heart.  The heart of a lion.  Cincinnati breeds talented fighters & fighters with a ton of heart.

Boxingscene.com:  For fans not familiar with you, what can expect every time you step in the ring?

Donte Strayhorn:  They can always expect a great performance.  I give boxing clinics.  I am going to give fans what they want to see each and every time.

Boxingscene.com:  Final Question.  What do you have planned for 2014?

Donte Strayhorn:  I plan to have a big year.  I plan on getting more fights and hopefully TV fights.
