British heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte (19-1, 15KOs) believes we might be in store for an upset, when Luis Ortiz and Malik Scott collide on November 12 from Monte Carlo.

Ortiz (25-0, 22 KOs) vs. Scott (38-2-1, 13 KOs) takes place at Salle des Etoiles, Sporting Monte-Carlo. It was announced on Monday that HBO has officially picked up the fight and plan to televise it live in the U.S. on HBO Boxing After Dark beginning at 4:00 p.m. (ET/PT). Same day replay at 11:05 p.m. (ET/PT). The fight will carried live in the UK on Sky Sports.

The fight will be the first ring outing for Ortiz under his new promotional deal with Matchroom Sport - who also promote Whyte.

Scott and Whyte are close friends. Whyte, who may be building up a future fight for himself, believes Ortiz is more hype than substance. He has no fear of getting in the ring with the fearsome boxer known as 'King Kong'.

"I think Malik has got the skills to outbox him," Whyte said to Sky Sports. "I don't know why people are saying he's the man that no one will face. I'll fight Luis Ortiz, I'll fight anyone.

"He's a good fighter, but I don't see this mystical thing around him that everyone is raving mad about. 'He's the bogeyman,' I don't really think so. Like everyone else, he's there to be knocked out and there to be beaten."

Earlier this month, Whyte scored a stoppage win over former sparring mate Ian Lewison in ten rounds. He's trying to secure a year-end opponents and has his eyes set on a domestic fight with Dereck Chisora.

"That's a fight that I want and it's one that I've been trying to get for a while, but Dereck hasn't been playing ball," Whyte said. "He hasn't been doing what he needs to do to build the fight, to make it a big fight. Dereck is really silly, because you should be building the fight.

"I think Eddie Hearn told him to fight on the Glasgow card in Scotland to help build the fight. To bring us closer, to hype the fight, and he decided to go and fight in Stockholm against a nobody on a non-TV show, or whatever. He's not doing the right things to build the fight, which suggests he doesn't want the fight. He's doing a lot of talking and not a lot of fighting. Let's hope in between now and the new year, the fight can get agreed."
